My child's grades will NEVER define him

I don't care if my son gets excellent, excellent or approved… a number will never define who my son is. What really matters in the education of children is the effort they use to learn, the enthusiasm and motivation in the face of new learning and above all, the desire they put into doing new things.

Maybe on a test they weren't focused enough, or they were sleepy or sick ... and they didn't get a good grade. But a failure doesn't mean you didn't study hard enough or didn't try hard. A fail is just an indicator that you will have to improve on some strategies next time.

Don't let your kids' grades label you "dumb" or "clever." Your child needs to feel accepted and loved and supported for who he is. Don't let her feel like her grades are a problem on her person. If he gets bad grades, you will only have to motivate him to make an effort the next time, to feel that he is capable and in no case to feel incapable or less than other children in his class.

The pressure for good grades can undermine children's self-esteem and can even put too much stress on them. A stress that will not allow them to enjoy the learning process and their innate curiosity of being children. ANDIt is necessary to emphasize this so as not to label the children, so that they know and understand that they are only numbers and that those numbers do not define them at all ... and they do not make them better or worse than others.

Everyone has their own pace of learning and it is necessary to respect this, both towards oneself and towards others. The notes should only be an orientation to know how the children are doing in school and know what to do more effort, but in no case should it be a reason to label or squander the self-esteem of a child.
