Puberty and adolescence

Puberty and adolescence are two terms that a priori seem the same, but they are not, they are just concepts that they precede each other in time. Puberty is the beginning of that entry into adolescence and where children already begin to experience the great changes that affect them for entry into adulthood.

Between both concepts we are talking at the entrance of a single objective, including acquiring another kind of consciousness where is it accompanied by Physical changes. Between this mutation, children go to a more adult phase where they have to deal with their body change, their social relationships and, above all, establish their sexual and moral identity.

What is puberty?

The word puberty comes from Latin "Pubere" which means pubis with hair. This stage appears among the 10 and 14 years in girls and between 12 and 16 years in children. In this change they begin with their first menstruation, with the development of the breasts and the growth of hair in the areas of the pubis and armpits.

In the kids change will create in development or growth of the testicles and penis. Hair will also grow on the pubis, armpits and on the face, your muscles will enlarge and your voice will change. The change from childhood to adulthood is quite critical. The children have to deal with this transformation and although it may be too abrupt never take it as a disease. If a 15- or 16-year-old child has not begun to enter this phase, a pediatrician should be consulted.
