As an independent consumer organization, OCU evaluates a large number of products under laboratory conditions under objective test criteria. Therefore, the test results are pretty solid. But following their own recommendations, we encourage you to be the one to compare the formula milks and confirm the one that best suits your baby, following the advice of your pediatrician.
Ranking of initiation milks
As we can read on the OCU page itself, in the cases in which the organization has not carried out any test for the initiation milks, they have used information from comparable sources. For the starter milks 44 products have been tested, 10 studies have been evaluated and 599 reviews have been read, of which it stands out that:
The first option as the best formula milk in the initiation category is Hero baby 1 Powdered milk for infants from day one. It has a unique combination of nutrients with milk lipids and other nutrients. Next we have Physiolac, in 900 gram format, for babies from 6 to 12 months who have a lot of appetite.

In the ranking, it is followed in second position Nutribén Continuation 2 - Pro Alpha, also in 800 grams. With a-linolenic acid that contributes to brain and nervous system development and enriched with iron. As for the best quality, price is Almiron 2 by Numil Nutrition, from the sixth month.
In fourth position we find Cow & Gate and in the fifth Nestlé Nativa 2 follow-on milk powder, formula for babies from 6 months, with iron, calcium and 13 vitamins. The best baby milk 2021
The category of so-called infant milk, says the OCU, which maintains an easy-to-compare format. They have tested 68 products, in which they have invested 91 hours, evaluated 4 studies, and have read 577 reviews. All comparisons have been made for the domestic market.
OCU's best product (test winner) in the infant milk category has been Blemil Plus, Comfort, from Laboratorios Ordesa. This milk is especially indicated for the dietary treatment of colic, constipation and other mild digestive disorders. It is a dietetic food intended for a special group of infants. It can be taken as the sole source of food from birth to the 6th month. In second position is Nan Optipro by Nestle Spain, in 800 grams format. From the same brand we find the following: Nestlé Junior 1+ Cereals, a formula milk for children from 1 year of age, without palm oil.
