Perhaps since your children were born you have been concerned with raising children who are emotionally intelligent. Now that they are a bit older (but still small), You don't know if you've been doing it right or if your kids were never emotionally smart (or always were).

Teach your child to be emotionally intelligent
In an ideal world, we would always have time to sit and talk with our children as feelings arise. But for most parents, that's not always an option. It is important, therefore, to designate a time, preferably at the same time each day, where you can talk to your child without time pressures or interruptions.
Emotional coaching is not a panacea. It doesn't have Harry Potter magical powers to turn your little demon into a little angel. There will still be outbursts. You will still need discipline and limits. But cover time you will create a closer bond with your child and help you develop a skill that will benefit you the rest of your life.
What most parents want more than anything is for their children to be happy. What is happiness? Emotion. Then you will teach them to go to the bathroom. And the school will teach them to think. But most of all, don't forget to teach them how to feel.
