Interventions for the aggressor and the victim in bullying

bullying

When the school knows that there is an aggressor who is causing bullying to the victims, it is necessary to develop an effective intervention plan to tackle the problem as soon as possible. Bullying is a social problem that we must all take into account in order to solve it as soon as possible.

Next we will analyze some interventions that can be carried out in educational centers when it is known that the aggressor is bullying within the educational center.

Develop appropriate interventions for both the harasser and the victim. For example, the victim may need to speak to a therapist to regain self-esteem. The bully can also benefit from talking with the therapist to learn better ways to communicate. But, do not allow the abuser and victim to do therapy together.

Keep an eye on both the victim and the stalker. You will have to pay attention to what happens on the playground and on the buses. You need to make sure that there are no more incidents of bullying.

Check in with the victim and the perpetrator on the situation often.  Ask how things are going and if they have any problems. It provides the victim with tools to deal with future bullying incidents and to regain self-confidence. Encourage the abuser to make good decisions. Do not hold a grudge against the aggressor, sometimes they are also victims. Give him a chance to put the past behind him.

Taking steps to prevent bullying will help improve your effectiveness as an educator. Bullying not only distracts students from learning, but it also hampers the learning environment, especially if students are anxious about becoming the next target. Take steps ahead of time to establish that you will not tolerate bullying of any kind and it will have a greater impact on students than if you turned a blind eye.
