Is it necessary to "demonize" the screens?

Children today seem that instead of being born "with bread under their arms" they are born with screens. At young ages they are able to manipulate any mobile device with complete agility and this happens because they are allowed to use it since they are just two years old ... Is it a bad idea to allow them to use it at such an early age?

It is true that parents, on many occasions, allow their children to be in front of the screen or to have devices in their hands so that they “are entertained”, for example, in situations such as a restaurant or when parents are at home doing housework and children do not allow them to advance.

It is not bad to allow children some use of the devices as long as both time and content are controlled. If children watch television with their parents or are using educational and quality mobile applications, it does not have to be a bad thing for them to use it. Of course, it is necessary to control the time so that they do not exceed too much. Screens are not a kangaroo and They should never be superimposed on play or exploration activities that children should have from a young age.

Displays don't need to be demonized as long as it's put to good use. Of course, the American Academy of Pediatrics makes it clear that children under the age of 2 should not be exposed to screens at all due to their brain development. Children over 2 years of age can enjoy the screens if it is not exceeded one hour a day and provided that the parents supervise the contents and control the exposure time. For older children, you can allow 2 hours a day, as long as it does not impair their physical and social development.
