5 movies from the eighties to watch with your children in summer

Hello readers! How are you? In today's post I propose an activity that you usually like a lot: see family cinema. Do you think that your children have already seen most of the current modern animated film? Well, I recommend that you start choosing between the eighties movies recommended for the children of the house. Surely you remember many of the ones I am going to mention!

The good thing about choosing films from the eighties is that many of you have grown up with them and you can tell the children a lot of things about the films that will leave them in awe and they will want to know more. In addition, it is always good to remember those films that marked our childhood. Surely, you will be very excited to share them with the little ones. So, do you dare to read the list?

Back to the Future (1985)

Of course Back to the Future had to be on the list! Looks like one of the eighties movies to me more fun to see as a family. Marty Mcfly's life is just amazing. And do you remember Doc? They say that actor Christopher Lloyd was inspired by Albert Einstein for his character. Children will see science scenarios while having a great time watching the movie. In case you have doubts, Back to the Future is authorized for all audiences. So no problem!

Raiders of the Lost Ark (1981)

When you read Raiders of the Lost Ark, don't you think about the incredible Indiana Jones soundtrack? It happens to me! Surely, you have seen this movie a lot of times (and if not, I highly recommend it). It brings back many good memories: when summer came I always saw it with my parents and my older brother and I loved it. Do you dare to see the adventures of Professor Henry Walton, Indy for friends, with your children?  Raiders of the Lost Ark is a must on the list of cool eighties movies to watch as a family.

The Goonies (1985)

Of course, the Goonies couldn't be missing from the list! A film full of friendship based on a group of boys and girls looking for the treasure of "Willy the one-eyed" to help their coastal neighborhood get out of debt and not finally build a golf course. If that happens, The Goonies would completely dissolve as they all had to move to different places. I am sure that with this movie your children will have a great time and will learn important values such as: friendship, diversity, respect for others and tolerance. What more could you want?

The Neverending Story (1984)

This film is based on the novel of the same name written by Michael Ende. The endless story presents us with Bastian Baltazar Bux, a boy who suffers bullying at school. One day, when he is fleeing from bullies, he enters a book store. The shop owner warns him that there is a dangerous book he cannot read called The Neverending Story, but Bastian gets carried away by it and plunges into a fantasy world where he meets Atreyu, a formidable warrior. As you progress in your reading, Bastian regains the confidence in himself to deal with the bullying.

Ghostbusters (1984)

How many times have you danced to the Ghostbusters theme? I admit that many! Personally, I think Ghostbusters is another of the coolest XNUMXs movies I've ever seen. Also, I think it's a good movie to watch in summer because of its freshness, dynamism, nonsense and fun. Did you know that it was one of the highest grossing comedies of the eighties? You clearly miss seeing Bill Murray in his ghost hunting suit. If you haven't seen it yet ... I highly recommend it!

Hey! What do you think of these films from the eighties? Have I created nostalgia for you? Surely you have a great time with your children! By the way, before saying goodbye I would like to recommend two other films to watch as a family but which are not from the eighties: Chitty Chitty Bang Bang (1968) and Mary Poppins (1964). Do they sound familiar?
