The natural pools are pools that form in rivers and streams. They have the magic of living nature, you find them on many trails and they become a good alternative to heat. In Spain we are lucky to have some well-kept natural pools, that the different communities have prepared with all kinds of services that you, and your children can enjoy all of them safely.
They are a economic and ecological resources for those municipalities that do not have municipal swimming pools. You can even find them in the sea! Next to the beach and in rocky areas, these saltwater pools have been prepared to quell the heat.
Natural pools in La Rioja, Navarra and Euskadi
We have gathered these three zones, Navarra, La Rioja and Euskadi to name a natural pool for each of them, but it is just a sample button. There are many more.
- All the Pozas de Arnedillo, along the Cidacos River in La Rioja. One of its characteristics is the high temperature of its waters, which ranges between 35 and 52 degrees, which are considered hot springs. You and your children will enjoy a spa free with beautiful views,

The pool is about 5 meters deep, but it is not the only one, there are other rocky pools and waterfalls. It has a parking area, but it is totally forbidden to go with pets, food and drink.
El Charco de la Olla in Las Mestas, Cáceres It is one of the most beautiful natural pools in Estremadura. The sides of the dam and the entrances are conditioned, which makes them very accessible for children, but the bathing area is the natural bed of the river. There are areas where it barely covers and others that are quite deep, so you can go with children of different ages.
Natural pools with salt water
Bathe in Natural pools don't have to mean giving up salt water. And that canaries know very well. There the Atlantic sometimes becomes capricious and causes beautiful natural pools. There are them in all the islands but we are going to recommend the most accessible with children.
