34th week of pregnancy

Pregnancy is a beautiful time, but when it is very advanced, you may feel some discomfort that you would like to see disappear, nothing that is not normal, even if it seems like a world. It is said that as soon as the baby is born you start to feel nostalgic for pregnancy, and there is a bit of that, although it all depends on whether you have more children, and the hours of sleep that you manage to link after delivery.

Enjoy: you deserve it and your baby also deserves that you are relaxed and happy, and taking good care of yourself. It's summer and that seems to complicate things, but if you have a pool or beach nearby, don't hesitate to soak a bit; yes: you can forget about ice cream every day (a lot of sugar and a lot of fat, you know) although you can substitute for cold water (not ice cold) and a good piece of natural fruit. by the way, I haven't told you yet, but if you're in week 34, your baby may be weighing 2300 grams, and will be 45 to 46 inches tall.

That little one that grows inside you, has an appearance that is similar to what it will have at the moment of birth, in fact your skin begins to be less wrinkled. With most of the organs fully formed (the lungs still have, and the skull is not completely closed), it is not yet time to be born, but if it were premature it could survive (the chances are almost 100 percent) .

Tired and insomniac, but like on a cloud

You may feel that way, or you may be thinking that nothing is cloud because having the intestines and lungs displaced up and pressed, is not at all comfortable, it is not the best thing in the world; although the truth is that no pregnant woman (unless she has had a lot of difficulties) is thinking 24 hours a day about the discomfort. You will also notice tingling in your legs, or not, if you are one of those who walk daily.

Maybe this is a good time to make a perineal massage (talk to your midwife). Y do not stop going to the preparation classes. Before I forget, if you have not yet evaluated your options to give birth, do not let more time pass: the more informed you are, the more protagonist you will be, and you will reduce the risks of episiotomy or caesarean section
