You don't need to bathe your baby every day

There are families who bathe their babies every day, but in reality it is not necessary to do so. The bathroom routine is not something that should be made sacred. There are many parents who wonder: how often do I have to bathe my baby?

Skin infections in babies are on the rise due to excessive bathing since the natural bacteria that babies have are reduced and they make them more vulnerable to infections and skin rashes.

A baby does not get dirty or sweat like a child or an adult, so logically he needs less bath than others. What's more, if you bathe a baby too often, his skin can become irritated since his dermis is very sensitive (and more can become irritated when using bath products unsuitable for the skin of a newborn baby). Ideally, use neutral pH bath gels suitable for baby's delicate skin.

When babies begin to crawl and explore their world, then their bath may be more frequent (from 12 months or so), but it is not necessary that it be every day. Although the diaper area cannot be neglected in daily hygiene to avoid irritation or diaper rash.

It is also important that even if you do not bathe your baby every day, you say yourself in the neck area or areas where it has skin folds (such as the groin or armpits) because they are delicate areas but require daily care because they tend to accumulate dirt all the time. Clean with warm soapy water or even with baby wipes will be enough to guarantee hygiene until the next bath.

The best is 3 times a week for the bathroom and thus maintain good hygiene, but the last decision will always be the parents.
