How to make a felt Christmas tree
The materials needed to make this tree are:
- Cardboard or cardboard
- Felt fabric pine green, in addition to other colors to make the ornaments
- Double-sided adhesive velcro
- White glue or hot silicone
- Scissors
- Needle and thread
- Cotton fibers to fill
The ornaments for the tree can be made in two ways, either in felt as we are going to explain below or in a simpler way. Instead of using the felt cloth, you can make the ornaments with EVA rubber in a very simple way. You just have to cut and paste colors depending on the decorations you want to create, you can also use colored markers or stickers. You will only have to put a piece of double-sided velcro on each ornament, so that it can be glued and detached from the tree.
The step by step of this felt Christmas tree
- The first is take some measurements, the tree must be a suitable size for your children or they will not be able to play well with it.

Felt ornaments are simple to make although a little more laborious, you just have to choose the ones you want to make, balls, pointed star, candy canes, reindeer, snowmen etc. Cut twice as much fabric for each figure, then sew with a few simple stitches and fill with the cotton fibers. Decorate each ornament with anything you want, but be careful not to use small pieces that can come off as buttons.
