Fight of women, from girls to adults

The role of women in society has changed, no doubt. However, there is still a long way to go to ensure that men and women are equated at all levels and worldwide. What a tough task, what an exciting goal and how important a global fight is from girls to adults. Because at the end of the day, the girls of today will be the women of tomorrow and those who will have the opportunity to change the world.

Like every March 8, today the International Women's Day, and although many wonder Why is there a special day for women and not for men? the answer is simple. Because women have been undervalued by men since the beginning of history, because women have had to fight for rights such as voting, such as the freedom to go alone on the street or for the simple fact of having their own bank account .

The struggle of women in the world

Before World War I, women were considered intellectually inferior (a macho feeling that still exists unfortunately). Therefore, the men considered that they did not have the capacity to make civil decisions, such as the right to vote, among many others. In the United States then, the suffrage movement arose and with a lot of struggle, a lot of suffering and a lot of pain that these women suffered, they managed to get women to rise up in other parts of the world to fight for the rights of all.

And what they achieved, not only benefited them at that time, but has been key in the future of all the women who came and will come later. In Spain, it was Clara Campoamor who fought for women's rights, being the main precursor of suffrage in this country. Like many other women around the world they are struggling to achieve an egalitarian society, although unfortunately, there is still a long way to go.

From girls to adults

In many countries, women are still considered inferior to men today, and therefore suffer discrimination in all aspects. Not only in developing countries, also in places as important as the main world powers. Women suffer labor, wage, sexual or intellectual inequality and discrimination every day.

Therefore, it is so important that the struggle of women begins in the earliest childhood, because this fight seems long and it is essential that girls are prepared to fight for their rights. But above all, for the rights of girls who have no possibility of fighting for themselves. Because the fight of women must be for all and for all.

Strong, free and independent girls

It is not about indoctrinating girls, or making them understand a concept that perhaps still many women are not even clear about. It's just about teach girls to be strong, to fight and strive to achieve their goals, that they and only they can decide what they want to be, who they want to be with or who they want. It is essential that girls grow up with the belief that they do not need a man's protection for anything in their life.

That they themselves can earn their own money, decide how to invest it, how they want to live and even decide if they want to share their life with a man or not, from their freedom. That is the most valuable lesson you can teach your daughters. Education is essential in every wayBoth boys and girls must learn that they are neither more nor less because of the sex they have grown up with.

No child should ever feel that they have had more or less luck, for being born with a certain sex. This is something that must be changed, because the worth of people, humanity, charisma, empathy, intelligence, strength, skills, are skills that are not associated with sex, never forget it.
